Peggy Ho is executive vice president of Government Relations and chief of staff to the chief legal officer for LPL Financial. As chief of staff, she manages the strategy and business operations for the Compliance, Legal & Risk department. Ms. Ho also directs the firm’s government relations strategy and operations, working with business partners to develop and advocate public policy positions on issues affecting the delivery of objective financial guidance and advice. She oversees the firm’s relationships with policymakers at the federal and state levels, as well as industry trade associations, to ensure the views of LPL Financial are effectively communicated.
Prior to joining LPL in 2007, Ms. Ho was a senior corporate associate with Ropes & Gray LLP in Boston, Massachusetts, where she represented public and private companies, financial sponsors, and financial institutions on transactional and ongoing matters, including mergers and acquisitions and debt financings. She served as lead associate in a diverse range of transactions, from small municipal bond issuances to multibillion-dollar private equity deals.
Ms. Ho received a bachelor’s degree in East Asian studies from Harvard University, a master’s degree in international business diplomacy from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, and a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
