Nomita Chopra Singh

Nomita Chopra Singh is a Managing Director at Credit Suisse based in New York. She is currently the Americas and US Chief Operating officer and Head of the Americas Regulatory Affairs. Nomita is responsible for ensuring CSH USA supports the strategic objectives of growth and profitability for the US businesses, in accordance with the regulatory framework in which they operate. She is the Chair of the CSH USA Operating Committee and sits on the CSH USA Executive Committee in both her roles. 

Prior to her current role, Nomita was Head of US Regulatory Affairs, she was responsible for managing the bank’s relationships with all US Regulators which includes the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Securities and Exchange Commission, NYSDS, FINRA, CME, NFA and FDIC. Additionally, she was part of the America’s Regulatory Reporting group at Credit Suisse and was responsible for developing and implementing a framework for testing the Methodologies for Regulatory Reports. 

Before joining Credit Suisse, Nomita held various positions at Deutsche Bank as a Business Area Controller and Regulatory Reporting officer. She managed and completed Sarbanes Oxley initiatives for Fixed Income including documentation, testing and exception reporting. Nomita was also responsible for the integration of two acquisitions into the Deutsche Bank control framework from a SOX perspective. She also spent more than five years working in Broker Dealer Regulatory at Salomon Brothers. 

Nomita holds a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Science from NYU.
