Natalie Faye Smith is Head of Strategy & Head of the Client Partnership Group at Brevan Howard.

She joined the firm in 2020 and set out to revitalise the firm’s communication with investors and enhance the client experience the firm offered. Her efforts resulted in an increased frequency and intensity of client communication and knowledge sharing covering the firm’s multi-manager and single manager macro investment offerings. She helped to conceive, set up and manage a new era of client partnerships with investors. As Head of Strategy & Head of the Client Partnership Group, Natalie is a key member of Brevan Howard’s executive team. She continues to help expand the investment platform globally, a business which is now managing over $34bn in assets.

Natalie is also the Co-Founder of BH Digital, the firm’s digital assets business which she helped establish along with the BH Digital Multi-strategy Fund, which launched in 2021. The BH Digital team she helped build and the more than $1bn fund that launched has resulted in Brevan Howard becoming the preeminent institutional investor in the digital assets sector.

Prior to joining Brevan Howard, Natalie worked at Commonwealth Asset Management (“CWAM”) from 2019 – 2020 as a Founding Partner & President. Prior to joining CWAM, from November 2017 to June 2019, Natalie was the Chief Operating Officer and President of Arts & Sciences Investment Management (“A&S”). Prior to A&S, Natalie was Head of Business Development for Commonwealth Opportunity Capital from 2012 to 2017. Natalie began her career in Prime Brokerage at Morgan Stanley, having graduated from Cambridge University with a Masters and Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Land Economy.
