Michele J. Bianco is a Managing Director and Associate General Counsel at Bank of America, where she leads the Americas Equity Financing Legal team. She advises on complex regulatory, transactional, and exam matters impacting prime brokerage, swaps, clearing, securities lending, clearing, custody and structured equity finance businesses. Michele has extensive experience engaging with U.S. and global regulators on industry initiatives and compliance priorities. She previously served as Chairperson of the SIFMA Prime Brokerage Committee and its Legal and Compliance Subcommittee and remains an active member of SIFMA’s Prime Brokerage and Securities Lending Committees. Michele is a frequent speaker at industry programs, including PLI Broker-Dealer Regulation, NYC Bar Women in Finance, and International Bar Association events. Prior to working for Bank of America, Michele has spent four years at the SEC’s Division of Market Regulation and Corporation Finance and several years at Patton Boogs, LLC.
