Mara Shreck

Mara Shreck is Managing Director, Head of Corporate Affairs for ProShares. She has responsibility for the firm’s public engagement with policymakers, regulators, and other external stakeholders.

Prior to joining ProShares in December 2024, Mara served for over 10 years as Managing Director, Head of Regulatory Affairs for J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management, where she directed the firm’s advocacy strategy on emerging regulatory policies impacting these businesses globally.

Earlier in her career, Mara was Associate Counsel at the Investment Company Institute (ICI) in Washington, DC from 2006 to 2013, leading industry-wide regulatory policy and advocacy efforts on matters affecting asset managers, and represented ICI members before legislators, regulators, and standard-setters in the US and abroad. Mara began her career as an Associate at Ropes & Gray, where she provided counsel to mutual funds boards and represented clients in various litigation, arbitration, and government enforcement matters.

Mara is a graduate of the UC Berkeley School of Law, and received her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from the Princeton University School of Public and International Affairs.
