Liz Lyons

Liz Lyons is a Department Leader and Senior Compliance Counsel in Investment Advisory Compliance at Edward Jones, where she leads the strategy, execution, and evolution of the firm’s advisory compliance program in alignment with business and enterprise objectives. She serves as a senior advisor to leadership on a broad range of complex regulatory and compliance matters impacting the firm’s advisory platform.

Liz oversees the firm’s investment advisory compliance program, providing strategic direction to teams responsible for core program elements and ensuring these activities are executed with rigor and evolve alongside the firm’s products, services, and regulatory expectations.

She partners cross-functionally to inform the design and implementation of key initiatives, including program or product offerings, and operational enhancements that improve client service and efficiency. She also leads the interpretation of emerging regulatory requirements and drives effective, scalable implementation.

Prior to her current role, Liz led compliance support for the firm’s branch structure, client service roles, and practice management functions.

Liz earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and her Juris Doctor from DePaul University. She joined Edward Jones in 2019 after working as an associate attorney in a boutique securities practice in Chicago. Liz is actively engaged with SIFMA’s Compliance & Legal Society as a member of the Future Leaders Committee.
