Leon Crutchley

Leon Crutchley is the Strategy Lead for the BNY Global Clearing platform. He is focused on market connectivity and infrastructure, and building a data driven platform that offers institutional clients the tools and insights needed to maximise settlement efficiency and optimise use of their securities.

Prior to joining Global Clearing, Leon led the data and analytics initiatives for the BNY Collateral and Clearance Management  business, helping bring new US Treasury focused AI and data driven products to Market, including the Predictive Fed Fails and AutoBorrow service, the Repo Spread Indicator Service and the SOFR Indicative service (in partnership with Tradition).

Previously Leon served in the Proprietary Positioning Business at JP Morgan, initially in the Credit Middle office and later as a Credit Derivatives trader, managing the Credit Index Arbitrage strategies. He started his career on the graduate analyst program at Goldman Sachs before joining the Fixed Income Group as a product controller. After relocating from London to the US in 2021 he spent six years working in early stage software startups in Silicon Valley, developing his passion for all things data, before spending time in the Capital Markets Group at Citi as their first Entrepreneur in Residence.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and History from the London School of Economics, and his MBA from City University London.
