
Katia Paz Goldfarb, Ph.D.
Dr. Katia Paz Goldfarb is the inaugural Associate Provost for Hispanic Initiatives and International Programs at Montclair State University. She is part of the senior leadership team of the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. Her portfolio also includes collaborative agreements with Community Colleges and international institutions. She is Professor and Founding Chair of the Family Science and Human Development Department in the College for Community Health at Montclair State University. She is the Head of the Hispanic Student College Institute (HSCI), a free pre-college residential program for juniors and seniors in High School. Dr. Goldfarb is a National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) Fellow and served as the National/International 2019 Annual Conference Chair. She is a Fellow at the Academia de Liderazgo, Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU). Her scholarship focuses on immigrant/transnational families, family sustainability, access, equity, belonging in Higher Education, and Hispanic Serving Institutions. Dr. Goldfarb is a member of the Advisory Board of Clara Maass Medical Center, Center of Excellence for Latino Health. NSF grant participation: PI, Build & Broaden Conference: The Long-Term Impact of COVID-19 on Latino Communities in the Tri-State Area and Senior Personnel, NSF HSI: Priority Area 2: GREEN TEAMS: Innovative Cross-Sector Partnerships. She has appeared multiple times on Univision, Telemundo, ABC, NBC, and CBS News.
