Jonathan Cutler

Jonathan Cutler is a principal in the Washington National Tax practice supporting Deloitte’s Global Information Reporting team. He is an information reporting and withholding specialist advising banking, brokerage, private equity, E-commerce and fintech industry leaders on strategic compliance, including in the developing area of digital assets. His work spans the reporting lifecycle, from onboarding documentation and self-certification through withholding determinations and year-end filings. His recent focus has included Form 1099-DA and the digital asset broker rules, along with the OECD’s Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework and the amended Common Reporting Standard. Jonathan began his career in the GIR team as an intern while completing his Tax LLM at NYU, and he rejoined Deloitte in 2021 from a corporate tax advisory role for a large financial institution.
