Jay Spatzek is a Managing Director and the Global Chief Privacy Counsel for JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he oversees a team responsible for providing legal advice globally across all JPMorgan entities, lines of business and corporate functions on matters of data protection, privacy and records management. The team is focused on ensuring that JPMorgan has a sophisticated and consistent understanding of the complex framework of global legal requirements necessary to effectively comply, function and compete in a data-driven economy.
He has spent over 19 years at JPMorgan in numerous legal roles, including 9 years as a senior lawyer for JPMorgan’s Treasury Services business within its Corporate & Investment Bank.
Jay began his legal career in private practice at each of Katten Muchin Rosenman and DLA Piper practicing in the areas of Information Technology, M&A and Private Equity.
