Geoffrey Berman is Global Chair of the Litigation Department and head of the White Collar Defense, Regulatory Enforcement and Investigations Practice at Fried Frank.

Geoff was previously the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, where he oversaw the investigation and litigation of all criminal and civil cases. He supervised about 230 Assistant US Attorneys on significant cases involving securities and commodities fraud, white-collar crime, cybercrime, money laundering, domestic and international terrorism, international sanctions violations, national security threats, healthcare fraud, public corruption, sex trafficking, narcotics and arms trafficking, organized crime, and civil rights violations.

Geoff is the author of the New York Times best-selling memoir Holding the Line, describing his leadership of SDNY and some of the challenges he and his leadership team faced.

He received his JD from Stanford Law School, his BA from the University of Pennsylvania, and his BS from The Wharton School.
