
David M. Levine
David M. Levine is a partner at Torridon Law PLLC, where he focuses on regulatory enforcement, litigation, and internal investigations. From January 2017 through March 2024, Mr. Levine served as the Chief Legal Officer of Sculptor Capital Management, Inc. (formerly known as Och-Ziff Capital Management, Inc.), a global alternative asset management firm with $30+ billion in assets under management until March 31, 2024. In this role, he was a member of the Firm’s Partner Management Committee, which oversees day-to-day management of the firm. Prior to joining Sculptor, Mr. Levine spent 15 years at Deutsche Bank AG, where he most recently served as Global Head of Litigation and Regulatory Enforcement. At Deutsche Bank, he managed the Bank’s most significant matters, including DOJ matters centered on mortgage-backed securities, and multi-agency matters related to LIBOR, FX and other benchmarks. From 1993 through 2001, Mr. Levine worked at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in both New York and Washington, DC. During this time, he served in a variety of roles, including as the agency’s Chief of Staff as well as Senior Adviser to the Director of Enforcement.
Mr. Levine has published several law review articles on securities law topics, including on class action reforms, internet fraud, and secondary liability. He is also a regular speaker at industry conferences.
