Brian Steele

Brian Steele is President of Clearing & Securities Services at DTCC.

He is responsible for the advancement of DTCC’s core market infrastructure, including the clearing, settlement, safekeeping and transference of trillions of dollars in securities transactions per day. Clearing & Securities Services is comprised of DTCC’s asset services, digital asset solutions, equities, fixed income, repository & derivatives, and wealth & investment solutions businesses.

Brian is a member of the DTCC Executive Committee and serves as Chair of the ITP Board of Managers and the Deriv/SERV Board. He also leads the firm’s capital and liquidity optimization and data strategy initiatives, key programs to increase market efficiency and transparency across the industry.

As an active member of financial services community, Brian serves on the board of the International Securities Services Association (ISSA) and is a member of the World Economic Forum Steering Committee, SWIFT Securities Leaders, and the SIFMA Operations & Technology Committee.

Previously, he was on the boards of Acadia, Traiana, Access Fintech and Droit. Brian has more than 20 years of financial services experience, having previously held senior roles in Global Markets and Operations at Goldman Sachs where he led large-scale digital transformation and market structure initiatives.

Brian is a graduate of Ithaca College where he earned his B.S. in Marketing and E-commerce.
