At Morgan Lewis, Ariel focuses her practice on representing broker-dealers, investment advisers, and executives in SEC and FINRA investigations, and conducting internal investigations for financial services firms. She assists firms in evaluating whether to self-report matters under FINRA Rule 4530(b) and acts as counsel to several broker-dealer self-reporting committees. Ariel regularly advises clients in matters involving algorithmic and electronic trading, trade reporting, and electronic recordkeeping compliance. She has particular experience in analyzing large sets of trade-related and other data for presentation to regulators. She also represents firms in customer- and employee-initiated FINRA arbitrations. Ariel is a graduate of Northwestern University and Georgetown University Law Center.
