Anthony L. Valenzuela

Anthony Valenzuela is a partner in Davis Wright Tremaine’s Financial Services Group and Digital Assets and Blockchain Practice Group. He practices out of DWT’s San Francisco, CA office.

Mr. Valenzuela’s practice focuses on representing broker-dealers, registered investment advisors, wealth managers, digital asset businesses and other financial institutions in litigation, arbitration and regulatory matters. He has first-chaired over 45 FINRA arbitrations over his 25-year legal career, and has handled hundreds of FINRA arbitration and expungement matters both as in-house counsel and in private practice. Prior to joining Davis Wright Tremaine, Mr. Valenzuela served as the General Counsel of OKX, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world. Before OKX, he was a Managing Director and Associate General Counsel with Charles Schwab in their litigation and regulatory enforcement group from 2012 to 2022. He also served as an Executive Director on Morgan Stanley’s client litigation team in San Francisco from 2004-2012.

Mr. Valenzuela holds a B.A. in Political Science from UC Berkeley and received a J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School in 1999.
