Adam Meshel is a Managing Director and Global General Counsel of Citi’s Institutional Clients Group—its Corporate, Investment and Private Bank. He sits on the Institutional Clients Group’s Operating and Executive Management Committees and serves as the co-chair of the Institutional Clients Group’s Business Practices Committee. Prior to holding such position, Adam acted as the General Counsel to Global Banking and Capital Markets Origination at Citi and acted as General Counsel to and a member of Citi’s Equity and Fixed Income Global Commitment Committees, the Investor Issues Committee and the Block Trade Committee. From 1998 until 2005, Adam focused his legal practice on capital markets and merger and acquisitions transactions at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he also held the position of Head of Compliance for the Financing Group. Prior to working at Goldman Sachs, Adam was a corporate attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, in New York City. Adam is a member of the Capital Markets Committee of SIFMA and a member of the Securities Regulation Committee of the New York City Bar Association. Adam holds AB and JD degrees from Columbia University.
