SIA and TBMA Submit Comments to the SEC on the Definition of NRSRO

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* and The Bond Market Association (TBMA)* provide comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)on the definition of Nationally Recognized Statistical Rating Organization (NRSRO), File No. S7-04-05. In the letter the associations discuss, among other things, the public availability of credit ratings, the requirement to rate specific securities, the current assessment requirement, and the analyst training and experience.
