Summary

Long-term securities issuance totaled $1.81 trillion in 4Q’17, a 1.6 percent increase from $1.78 trillion in 3Q’17 and a 3.6 percent increase year-over-year. Municipal, Treasury, asset-backed, and equity securities experienced increases q-o-q in the fourth quarter, while mortgage-related, corporate, and agency securities experienced no change or declines.
