Summary

Long-term securities issuance totaled $1.75 trillion in 1Q’18, an 8.7 percent decline from $1.92 trillion in 4Q’17 and a 14.6 percent decline year-over-year. Treasury, corporate, and equity securities experienced increases q-o-q in the first quarter, while municipal, mortgage-related, agency and asset-backed securities experienced declines.
