Sasha Lanes

In September 2020, Sasha became the Director of Electronic Products and Services Support (EPSS) in Wage and Investment (W&I). She began her federal career in 2001 as a civilian for the Department of Defense Navy Headquarters Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in Washington, D.C., as an Operations Research analyst on the Virginia Class Nuclear Submarine Program and various other submarine programs for three years. Upon leaving NAVSEA, she joined the IRS in 2005 in W&I Research where she worked as an Operations Research Analyst and subsequently became a senior manager over one of the research groups.

Sasha has a Master of Science in Pure and Applied Mathematics from Virginia Polytechnic and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia, a Master of Education in Mathematics from Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.
