Richard Maloney

Richard Maloney is an Executive Director and Counsel in Employment Legal at UBS Group AG in New York.

Rich provides strategic legal counsel to wealth management and the investment bank on a wide range of employment law and related risk issues and manages court and arbitration proceedings and internal investigations involving wrongful termination, deferred/incentive compensation, wage & hour, discrimination, harassment, whistleblowing, restrictive covenant, trade secret and data privacy issues.  Rich is also responsible for negotiating employment agreements and advising on risk issues related to the recruiting of hundreds of high-profile financial advisor teams.

Prior to joining UBS in 2003, Rich’s background includes private practice at Choate, Hall & Stewart in Boston.  Rich has a BA with honors in History from Trinity College and a JD from Boston College Law School.
