Michelle Rhee

Michelle Rhee is Deputy General Counsel for Wealth & Investment Management at Wells Fargo. She has been an asset management, investment adviser, banking and broker dealer attorney for over 20 years. She serves as the general counsel for Wells Fargo’s wealth and private bank businesses and supports all business and regulatory initiatives.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Michelle was Associate General Counsel at Bank of America leading the team manufacturing securities products for the Merrill Lynch, U.S. Trust and Merrill Edge businesses. While at BAC from March 2004 until February 2018, Michelle led legal teams supporting wealth management and asset management, including the Columbia Asset Management business. From 1997 to 2004 she was an associate and junior partner at Hale and Dorr (now WilmerHale). Michelle holds a B.A. from Smith College and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
