Michael Huber

Managing Director and Senior Counsel Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Michael is co-head of the Equities Legal team for Americas Global Markets Legal. He is vice chair of the Regional New Activity Committee (Americas) and a member of the US Client Asset Steering Committee. Michael is also a member of the Disability Network and a managing director ally of the LGBTQ+ Network.

 

Previously, Michael was head of Prime Services and Securities Financing Legal for the Americas. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2005 as a vice president and was named managing director in 2011.

 

Prior to joining the firm, Michael worked at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP from 2000 to 2005, advising financial institutions and hedge funds on various financial products, broker-dealer regulation and cross-border collateral issues. In 2001, he was seconded to Deutsche Bank’s Legal Department, covering their prime brokerage business.

 

Michael has served as an adjunct professor at New York Law School, teaching Securities Finance for the Financial Services Law LLM program. Michael also serves on the Board of Directors of Helvetas USA, the largest Swiss-based international development non-governmental organization.

 

Michael earned an LL.M. from the New York University School of Law in 2000 and graduated from the University of Bern School of Law, Switzerland, in 1997. He is admitted to the bars of New York and Bern, Switzerland.
