Marlon Q. Paz

Marlon Q. Paz, a Partner at Latham & Watkins, draws on his tenure at the SEC, private practice, and academia to advise global investment banks and other financial services firms in matters related to securities regulation, regulatory enforcement, internal investigations and examinations, and compliance. Mr. Paz advises leading financial firms on the provision of investment research, digital engagement practices and the employment of technology in the capital markets, regulation M, Rule 15a-6, and other securities law matters. Clients turn to Mr. Paz when considering innovative products or services, or when facing complex regulatory issues before the SEC or one of the self-regulatory organizations.  In addition, Mr. Paz advises clients on capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions of brokers, dealers, and investment advisers.  Mr. Paz is a senior leader of the Business Law Section of the ABA and a member of the adjunct faculty of Georgetown University Law Center and the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.
