Americas Head of Compliance Testing Deutsche Bank

Lori Ryan-Thurton is currently a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank (DB). Lori joined DB in May 2015 as the Head of Bank Regulatory Testing but shortly thereafter was made Americas Head of Compliance Testing in 2016.  In January 2020, Lori also assumed responsibility for AFC Testing & Quality Assurance in the Americas.  In 2021, DB Compliance and AFC Testing & Quality Assurance was reorganized  under a new global function within DB’s Chief Administrative Office (CAO) – Controls Testing and Assurance function. She now oversees DB Americas Controls Testing and Assurance staff located in New York City and Jacksonville. The DB Americas Controls Testing and Assurance program covers  the Investment Bank,  Origination and Advisory,  Research, Corporate Bank, International Private Bank and Asset Management. With over 28 years of experience in the financial industry, Lori began her career in risk management with the Bank of New York as an Internal Auditor and subsequently became a Compliance Officer. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Lori worked at UBS covering testing of Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime risks as the Head of Compliance Testing for the Americas. She holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology from Bernard Baruch College, and is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
