Kathy Adams

Kathy Adams is the owner of Kathy Adams Dispute Resolution Services, a private dispute resolution firm that offers mediation and other dispute resolution services nationwide.  Her practice focuses on financial services matters, including customer disputes, industry disputes, insurance coverage issues and employment matters.  Prior to establishing her mediation practice in 2013, Kathy was Director and Associate General Counsel with UBS Financial Services’ Litigation Department.  Over the past 20 years, Kathy has also served as outside counsel to several financial services firms, providing counseling and spearheading litigation matters.  She worked with the Minnesota Attorney General and as a judicial law clerk at the Minnesota Supreme Court.  Kathy earned her undergraduate degrees in Economics and International Relations from the University of California, Davis and her JD from Mitchell Hamline School of Law,  She is licensed to practice in California and MInnesota.  Kathy is a frequent speaker on settlement strategies, behavioral psychology in negotiations, and creating opportunities for diversity and inclusion in the legal and financial services industries.  She is a member of the National Association of Women Lawyers and the ABA Financial Services and Alternative Dispute Resolution Committees.
