Kate Lesker is a Special Counsel for the Office of Sales Practices in the Office of Chief Counsel, Division of Trading and Markets at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The Office of Sales Practices has program responsibility for a broad range of broker-dealer sales practice issues, including broker-dealer supervision, anti-money laundering compliance, and business conduct obligations of security-based swap dealers.  Prior to joining the Commission, she was an Associate General Counsel for the Investigations & Enforcement group at Interactive Brokers LLC. Prior to going in-house, Kate was at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP where she represented clients in securities enforcement matters and completed a secondment at a major international financial institution, counseling on a range of money laundering, bribery and corruption and sanctions matters. Kate earned her BA and JD from The George Washington University.
