Jon Sullivan

Thirty years’ experience in the reinsurance industry starting his career in 1988 spending ten years as a broker with five years at E.W.Payne, and five at  Willis, before joining GE Frankona underwriting Cat, Risk and pro rata from the London office.  In 2001, Jon moved to ACE Tempest Re Bermuda where he became Chief Underwriting Officer, International.  In 2005 Jon joined Citadel LLC backed CIG Re/ New Castle Re, a Bermuda based collateralised and rated paper start-up. After a brief spell at Torus in Bermuda and London from 2009, Jon joined BRIT in 2011 as Portfolio Director – Short Tail Reinsurance with responsibility for the Global Property Treaty portfolio at BRIT.  Jon was intrinsic in developing BRIT’s ILS offerings with the Versutus Sidecar and also Sussex Capital Management, BRIT’s collateralised reinsurer, operating in both in Bermuda and London.  Jon’s role expanded in 2017 to cover all short tail lines and most recently Jon became Active Underwriter for Syndicate 2987 and Group Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer
