Jonathan’s practice focuses on complex anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, and sophisticated financial fraud matters. A former federal prosecutor, Jonathan spent over eleven years at DOJ serving as an inaugural Deputy Chief of DOJ’s Bank Integrity Unit, a member of the Enron Task Force, a Senior Trial Attorney in DOJ’s Criminal Fraud Section, and an Assistant United States Attorney in Miami. Jonathan has the rare distinction of successfully trying to verdict both an FCPA matter and an Enron Matter and represents financial institutions, corporations and individuals in enforcement matters, congressional inquiries, and with compliance advice.

Jonathan has been ranked by Chambers USA 2019 in the category of Litigation: White-Collar Crime & Government Investigations, has been named a National Law Journal Trailblazer in the area of Bank Secrecy Act compliance and is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center where he teaches a course on federal criminal trial strategy.
