Director, Corporate Actions BlackRock

Chris Thiebaut, Director, heads U.S. Asset Servicing within BlackRock’s Global Investment Operations. He leads a team managing the full lifecycle of Corporate Action events, ensuring efficient processing on BlackRock’s Aladdin investment management platform. His team is also responsible for reconciling the firm’s position records, crucial for trading and accounting, aligning counterparties with Aladdin’s investment book of records.

Additionally, Chris is the operations lead for BlackRock’s Corporate Action global technology and strategy initiatives, driving development from conception to implementation. His work streamlines corporate action processes for the over 200 institutions that utilize the Aladdin platform.

An industry leader, Chris co-chairs the SIFMA Corporate Action Forum, developing solutions for operational and regulatory challenges in Corporate Actions. Prior to BlackRock, he led the U.S. Brokerage Operations Corporate Actions team for the Royal Bank of Canada and earned an economics degree from Saint Cloud State University. A former member of the Minnesota Army National Guard, Chris is also recognized for his combat service in Baghdad during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
