Benjamin Sawyer

Ben Sawyer is SIFMA Foundation’s Chief of Operations where he manages technology development and enhancement of the Stock Market Game. Additionally, Ben engages with vendors and partner firms on collaboration and strategic development opportunities across SIFMA Foundation programs. Prior to joining SIFMA Foundation, Ben was the Head of the Corporate Actions and Market Watch Groups at the New York Stock Exchange. He managed all corporate actions and trading halt events for NYSE, NYSE American, and NYSE Arca listed securities. The group is responsible for the entire lifecycle of corporate actions events, operational pressing of all IPOs and new listings, as well as all when-issued and when-distributed market determinations. Prior to joining NYSE, Ben worked in product management at Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) on the Corporate Services team.

Ben has a Bachelors in Finance and Masters in Business Administration from Old Dominion University, and he is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree on market microstructure inefficiencies and intraday stock price bubbles at Pepperdine University.
