Ariel White-Tsimikalis is a Partner in the UK Public Company practice in the M&A and Corporate Finance team in London and is Global Co-Leader of the firm’s Banking sector group. She specialises in advising banks, corporates and private equity funds on equity capital markets transactions (including IPOs and secondary offers), corporate governance matters and general public company representation. She is a member of the firm’s ESG Leadership team – with a particular focus on “S” and “G” related matters, chairs the firm’s UK Public Company Focus Group and is a member of the firm’s Africa Group.

Ariel has particular experience advising banks and other financial institutions, having spent time on secondment at global investment banks Goldman Sachs, Jefferies and Citi. Her listed client base is international, spanning a broad range of sectors including aviation, financial services, healthcare, hospitality & real estate, manufacturing, natural resources and TMT. She regularly advises a number of the firm’s premium listed clients particularly on corporate governance and broader ESG matters.

As a corporate governance specialist, Ariel’s thought leadership is regularly published in leading national publications including The Chartered Governance Institute’s (formerly known as ICSA) Governance + Compliance magazine, City A.M., The ESG Investor and The Law Society’s publications.

In addition, as one of only a handful of black female partners at a top law firm in the UK, Ariel is passionate about contributing to a stronger pipeline of diverse lawyers in the legal profession and is therefore particularly active in the Diversity & Inclusion space both within the firm and externally. She currently serves as:

Last year, Ariel was included in Cranfield University’s 2020 list of “Top 100 Women to Watch” for FTSE 100 board positions. She holds a Law & Politics Honours degree from the University of Edinburgh (2004) and was admitted as a solicitor of England & Wales in 2009. She is fluent in Greek.
