Alexander White

Associate General Counsel and Senior Vice President Bank of America

Alexander White is Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Bank of America, where he leads the team responsible for representing the Bank’s wealth management business in significant regulatory and law enforcement investigations. Mr. White also leads internal investigations concerning potential violations of the securities laws, rules, and regulations. He began practicing law at WilmerHale representing broker-dealers, public companies, and individuals in federal, state, and internal investigations, as well as regulatory enforcement and criminal matters. His broad experience includes conducting investigations and defending clients in matters concerning fraud, insider trading, market manipulation, investor and market protection, AML, and other regulatory violations. While at WilmerHale, he also handled several successful litigation matters in MD and DC courts for clients ranging from global government contractors to local non-profits, civil rights organizations, and indigent defendants. He clerked for the Honorable Eric T. Washington, Chief Judge of the DC Court of Appeals.

Mr. White is also an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University Law Center, teaching a seminar in the experiential learning program. He earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from Washington and Lee University, where he studied Psychology and Sociology/Anthropology and captained the basketball team, and earned his J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown, where he served as Membership Selection Chair and Senior Special Projects Editor for the Georgetown Law Journal.
