Sharon K. Minta is a Compliance Director & Anti-Money Laundering Officer of the Financial Crimes Unit; Shared Services Law & Compliance within Thrivent Financial’s General Counsel’s Office. Sharon provides Anti-Money Laundering, Customer Fraud/Special Investigations Unit, Sanctions Compliance and Identity Theft program implementation and oversight for Thrivent Financial and applicable affiliates. She leads a team of compliance analysts in support of these programs.

Sharon spent the first 20 years of her career as a paralegal with an emphasis on insurance and securities legal operations and anti-money laundering support. In 2015, Sharon made the change to a compliance leadership role with a focus on fraud prevention and anti-money laundering.

Sharon holds a degree in Leadership Development from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and received her paralegal certification from the American Institute of Paralegal Studies, Inc. She holds securities license’s including a series 7, 63 and 24. Sharon is a certified fraud examiner (CFE) and a certified anti money laundering specialist (CAMS).
