RHODA DHAR is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse in the Group Finance department, based in New York. As a member of the Accounting Policy and Assurance Group, she has overall oversight for the Americas function, which is made up of senior professionals across the Accounting Transaction Advisory team, New Policy Implementation and Regulatory Assurance functions. Rhoda is responsible for delivering on monitoring standard setting, implementing new standards and providing transaction advisory support. This covers the accounting aspects (US GAAP, IFRS and Swiss GAAP) as well as FINMA and Fed regulatory capital, leverage and liquidity aspects for transactions. Rhoda joined Credit Suisse in London in June 2004 from Pricewaterhousecoopers where she ran a team of financial instruments experts in PwC’s Transaction Services Group, which focused primarily on assisting clients with accounting issues on complex transactions. In addition to this function, Rhoda’s prior role included assisting foreign registrants with SEC registration statements, including preparation of initial filings and 20-F related matters for US GAAP and SEC reporting considerations. Rhoda holds a B.S. in Accounting from Villanova University.
