Nicola Short is a Director at Credit Suisse and Head of Infrastructure, Governance and Risk Advisory for Group Operational Risk Management. She was previously the Head of Operational Risk Advisory for Global Markets and Investment Banking Capital Markets, providing leadership in the Operational Risk space and partnering with stakeholders across the Bank to assist them in identifying, measuring and managing operational risk. Prior to joining Operational Risk Nicola was an Audit professional for 25 years starting her career as an external auditor covering the financial services in the UK for PriceWaterhouseCoopers. After spending 2 years in Singapore with PWC Nicola moved into Internal Audit joining Credit Suisse Singapore. As Audit Manager in Singapore Nicola was responsible for execution on the Bank’s risk based audit plan for the APAC region across the range of business activities. In 2003 Nicola transferred to CS Internal Audit in New York and continued to cover a range of business activities and locations across the Americas, ultimately specializing as the Head of Audit for Investment Banking & Capital Markets Division. Nicola graduated from St Andrews University, Scotland with an MA in Statistics, is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds the Series 7 license.
