Jeffrey S. Wecker
Jeff is chief data officer, responsible for data governance and architecture firmwide, with a focus on the firm’s data and information strategy, controls, policy, commercialization and business intelligence. He joined Goldman Sachs as an associate in 1985. Jeff rejoined the firm as a partner in 2017.
Earlier in his career at Goldman Sachs, Jeff was an executive director in Global Derivatives in Tokyo. Prior to relocating to Asia, he was global co-head of Quantitative Strategies, based in New York. Prior to rejoining the firm, Jeff was chief business architect at Bridgewater Associates where he was responsible for the strategic transformation of the hedge fund’s investment engine. He previously served as chief executive officer at Lime Brokerage Holdings and Townsend Analytics. Prior to that, Jeff was global head of Electronic Trading at Lehman Brothers and co-founder of Caspian Holdings, where he was chief executive officer of Caspian Asset Management.
