Jeff Coverdell

Assistant General Counsel Wells Fargo

Jeff Coverdell is a Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel in the Wells Fargo Legal Department and is based in St. Louis, Missouri.  He has been with the company for seventeen years.  He leads the litigation section supporting Wells Fargo’s Wealth and Investment Management Division, which provides counsel to the retail brokerage, investment advisory, private wealth, trust, and asset management businesses.   He previously led the Regulatory Enforcement team and served as Senior Regulatory Counsel at Wachovia Securities, and Regulatory Counsel and Litigation Counsel at A.G. Edwards & Sons.  Prior to joining A.G. Edwards, he was a partner at Husch Blackwell.  He began his legal career in the United States Navy JAG Corps as a Defense Counsel and Staff Judge Advocate, where he was awarded the Navy Achievement and Navy Commendation Medals.  He earned a J.D. from Drake University Law School with Honors and a B.A. from Monmouth College.
