Hannah Berkowitz has represented companies and individuals in regulatory proceedings and securities litigation in a career that has spanned private practice and senior legal roles in major financial institutions. She has also acted as an independent consultant and monitor for SEC settlements with broker-dealers and investment advisors.
Ms. Berkowitz previously served as Shareholder at financial services and regulatory law firm Murphy & McGonigle. Before that, she led in-house teams as Senior Associate General Counsel at MasterCard Worldwide, and as Managing Director and General Counsel Litigation at UBS Financial Services and PaineWebber. Earlier in her career, she was an associate at Davis Polk and law clerk to the late Hon. William C. Conner in the Southern District of New York.
Ms. Berkowitz has taught at Pace Law School and the University of Chicago School of Law, and she served as an officer of the C&L Division of SIFMA and SIA.
