Evan Barr is a partner in Fried Frank’s White Collar Defense, Regulatory Enforcement & Investigations Practice. Mr. Barr advises individuals and companies in sensitive investigations and prosecutions and has successfully defended clients in virtually every type of white-collar offense. Prior to joining Fried Frank, Mr. Barr served as Chief of the Major Crimes Unit at the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. During this time, he received the Department of Justice’s John Marshall Award for Outstanding Legal Achievement in Asset Forfeiture and the Director’s Award for Superior Performance. Mr. Barr is consistently ranked by Chambers USA as a leading practitioner in his field. Mr. Barr currently serves as Co-Chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on White Collar Criminal Litigation. Mr. Barr received his JD from Harvard Law School in 1989 and his BA, magna cum laude, from Harvard University in 1985.
