Sales Leader, Global Financial Services Amazon Web Services

*Responsibilities*

Annabel leads the North America sales teams for Global Financial Services at AWS with responsibility for the Capital Markets and Insurance business. In this role, she is responsible for driving the global strategy, execution, and adoption of AWS services at some of the world’s largest systemically important financial institutions, including investment banks, broker-dealers, hedge funds, market data distributors, exchange operators, as well as insurance carriers. She works with these organizations to help them transform their existing businesses and bring new, innovative solutions to market by leveraging AWS.

*Experience*

Annabel has more than 20 years of experience across sales, strategy, and marketing at global high-growth tech companies. Prior to AWS, Annabel was the Global Head of Financial Services at a growth equity stage SaaS company where she led the go-to-market strategy for the financial services industry, including sales, marketing, and pre-sales. Annabel also served as Workday’s Global Lead for Financial Services, and at SAP, she led its go-to-market strategy for Financial Services in North America, focusing on regulatory compliance and core banking. For ten years prior to SAP, Annabel was an M&A and corporate finance attorney in New York and Hong Kong for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom as well as Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher where her practice included cross-border transactions, M&A, IPOs, and corporate finance. She has deep international experience in Asia and Europe and speaks Mandarin.

*Education*

Annabel holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and East Asian Studies from Columbia College, a Juris Doctor with honors from Columbia Law School, and an M.B.A from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Annabel was also the recipient of a Ford Foundation Research Grant to work with women’s rights groups in Asia.
