Allen Meyer is a Partner at Oliver Wyman based in New York. He is a member of both the Americas Risk and Public Policy and Corporate and Investment Banking Practices and leads the Compliance Practice for North America.
Allen specializes in regulatory Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime related topics and has held a number of Compliance leadership roles in the industry prior to joining Oliver Wyman in 2016.
While at Barclays, Allen served as the Acting Head of Compliance, Government and Regulatory Relations and sat on the Barclays Executive Committee. He also served as the Head of Compliance for the Corporate and Investment Bank and the Head of Global Compliance Services during his tenure at Barclays.
Prior to joining Barclays in 2011, Allen held various roles at Credit Suisse including Global Head/Co-Head of Compliance for Credit Suisse Group and Head of Controls for the Investment Banking division. He also served as Head of Compliance for the U.S Wealth Management business of UBS prior to joining Credit Suisse.
He started his career as an Enforcement Attorney and then Branch Chief at the U.S. SEC and also spent several years at a large law firm in the Financial Services and Litigation practices. With over 25 years of experience, Allen is one of the most knowledgeable and innovative Compliance professionals in the financial services industry.
Allen holds a JD from Boston University School of Law and a BA from Emory University.
