Alice Campbell

Economic Counsellor, British Embassy

Alice Campbell was appointed Economic Counsellor at the British Embassy in September 2015.  Prior to her move to Washington DC she worked for Her Majesty’s Treasury in London for 5 years. Her roles in Treasury included 4 years working on international economy issues including sanctions and illicit finance, money laundering and terrorist financing policy, G8/7/20, tax and transparency. Before joining the international group she worked on a cross government project to improve transparency in public spending.  Alice graduated from Cambridge University in 2004 where she read Geography. After a number of years working for an expedition company, mostly working in Latin America, she joined the Treasury as a policy advisor in 2010. She received a Graduate Diploma in Economics from Birkbeck College, University of London with distinction in 2011.
