Most firms have invested in and implemented FIX Protocol for the trading environment, enabling them to minimize trading costs, and increase efficiency and transparency. FIX is now experiencing rapid expansion into the post-trade space, supporting straight-through processing (STP) from indications of interest (IOI) to allocations and confirmations. This panel will give a snapshot of the current landscape of FIX Protocol and discuss the current developments underway to further extend FIX into the post trade FX space; track post transaction payment status via FIX; and communicate clearing and settlement status via FIX.
