The SIFMA vendor assessment process for the Securities Industry provides a standard questionnaire for industry organizations to use to assess the business continuity capabilities of their vendors and service providers. Vendors may use the questionnaire as a common way to respond to assessment inquiries by their clients.
The questionnaire was developed in collaboration with BITS Financial Services Roundtable and the Santa Fe Group, which offers the same question set in their Financial Institution Shared Assessments Program (BITS/FISAP). The questionnaire may be downloaded and used by any organization or individuals after agreeing to the Terms and Conditions on the following screens.
In practice, securities industry organizations my download the questionnaire and provide it to their vendors or vendors may download it directly. Vendors will maintain their completed questionnaire and distribute it to their clients at their discretion. SIFMA will not retain completed questionnaires, but will maintain a list of organizations that have downloaded the questionnaire. The list of vendors that have downloaded the questionnaire is avaiable on this website.
