2008 Global Master Repurchase Agreement Legal Opinion Update

The GMRA published jointly with the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), updates its legal opinions annually and the 2008 update includes opinions from 29 jurisdictions.

The GMRA, which is published jointly with the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), updates its legal opinions annually and the 2007 update includes opinions from 24 jurisdictions. The updated opinions cover both the enforceability of the netting provisions of the GMRA and the validity of the GMRA as a whole. The opinions also address recharacterisation risk of transfer securities and transfer of margin.
