Title
Collects and reviews financial data from various sources and prepares entries to accounts, statements and/or supporting schedules. Examines accounts and statements and compiles data necessary for financial and/or management reports which summarize operating results. Reviews and reconciles accounts and posts adjustments, as necessary. Analyzes and evaluates financial data and prepares statements, supporting schedules and/or reports for review by management. Verifies and maintains the accuracy of accounts and other fiscal records and ensures adherence to GAAP and/or Company policies and procedures. Assists in the research and resolution of questions and/or problem items relating to accounts, records and reports generated within the department. Analyzes procedure statements, supporting schedules and/or reports. Monitors financial activity and determines effect on operating results of the Company. Performs special projects as required. This may include researching new or revised accounting policies and procedures as well as enhancements to financial systems, and assisting in the testing and implementation processes. Senior level may assist in supervising or training lower level accountants.
ACCOUNTANT
Applies accounting principles to reconcile mutual fund transactions with corporate books and records.
ACCOUNTANT, FUND
Assembles and analyzes tax records and reports in order to facilitate preparation of corporate tax returns, claims for tax refunds, estimated tax payments and calculation of tax provisions. Ensures compliance with state and federal tax laws and minimizes tax liability. Knowledge of tax law and financial accounting at a level normally acquired through completion of Bachelor's degree in Accounting or another closely related field.
ACCOUNTANT, TAX
Under close supervision, maintains records of firm's financial transactions. Limited knowledge of accounting.
ACCOUNTING CLERK
An experienced bookkeeper capable of balancing the books, reconciling bank balances and compiling statistics for financial reports of operations of the business. May prepare tax returns. Does not include head bookkeeper whose base salary rates include compensation for supervisory duties of at least three others.
ACCOUNTING CLERK (Senior)
Processes accounts payable invoices, including all aspects of input to systems, coding and questions of coding; mailing and filing. May have 1-2 years experience. Must have knowledge of automated mainframe or PC based automated system.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
Processes accounts payable invoices, including all aspects of input to systems. Oversees general ledger account coding and reviews it for accurate reference coding, and handles mailing and filing. Researches and resolves vendor payment problems and reviews expenses for payment authorization. Oversees work and trains Accounts Payable Clerk. Typically has more than two years experience, and possesses detailed knowledge of automated mainframe and PC-based systems.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK (Senior)
Supervises operations of the Accounts Payable area. Maintains reports and records, and insures accurate payment of accounts.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER
Supervises and controls the compensation of commission-based associates to ensure timely and accurate payments in accordance with authorized contracts and plans, federal and state regulations, generally accepted accounting principles, and company policy. Responds to questions and requests from Department and Branch managers and RRs regarding their gross production, net commissions, bonuses, or other compensation related matters. Verifies and approves the calculation and payment of all commissions, guarantees, production bonuses, branch overrides and other commissions-related compensation.
COMMISSIONS SPECIALIST
Directs all of the firm's financial activities, including general accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, payroll and preparation of financial statements. Develops and recommends new systems and techniques for collecting and reporting financial and operating data and for appraising firm performance.
