Surveys: Report on Prices Charged Retail Clients - 2007
This study, conducted every three years, contains retail pricing information for participating industry firms. Thirty firms participated in this year's study, reporting information on commission charges for stocks and options; discounting (i.e., the most common percentage discount, average discount); and fees and charges for a variety of products and services, including: set-up and maintenance fees for retirement accounts; legal transfers, returned checks, postage and handling, safekeeping, reorganization, etc. The report also contains an extensive section on fee-based accounts, including: types of accounts offered, fees charged, minimum opening balances, percentage of assets by account type and aggregate composition of assets.
This 224-page report contains numerous summary tables as well as extensive data arrays, which present non-identifying, firm-by-firm data. Data in the report is segmented into three firm-size groups.
