Surveys: Merit Budgets, Bonuses & Benefits - 2007 Winter Update
|
The 2007 Winter Update to SIFMA’s annual report on Merit Budgets, Bonuses and Benefits makes available the most current year-end data on 2007 merit budgets and the extent to which 2006 bonuses will change.
Data in this year’s report covers 60,000 employees from 31 participating firms. The data are presented for “All Firms,” and for four firm-size groups: Group I represents firms with fewer than 50 employees; Group II represents firms with between 50 and 249 employees; Group III represents firms with between 250 and 999 employees; and Group IV represents firms with more than 1,000 employees. The data are also presented for three geographic regions (where there is sufficient data): NYC Metro Area; Midwest; and, South.
The aggregate data cover Executive, Exempt (non-executive) and Non-Exempt employees whose total compensation consists primarily of salary and bonus income. It does not cover employees who derive the majority of their income from commissions, trading profits, Investment Banking transactions, or other transaction- or fee-based activities.
