US Quarterly Highlights, Second Quarter 2015

Long-term securities issuance totaled $1.76 trillion in 2Q’15, a 4.6 percent increase from $1.68 trillion in 1Q’15 and an 8.8 percent increase year-over-year. The asset classes that recorded the largest quarterly increases were mortgage-related and equity, up 27.0 percent and 25.6 percent, respectively while federal agency issuance declined by 34.9 percent quarter-over-quarter.
